Making Bacon in the oven


* Preheat oven to 375°.

* Lay bacon in individual strips across the cookie sheet, you can fit them tight against each other but try not to have them overlap too much.

* Place pan in oven and cook for 20 to 25 minutes or until bacon is crisp (about 35 minutes for thick slice
* Remove from oven and lay bacon on paper towel lined platter to absorb more grease.

Easy Cleanup: Either pour off bacon grease in a container to use for later, or make bacon gravy -mmmm

I have been wanting to try to cook bacon this way but was afraid of the mess that it may leave in my oven. SO...did it make a mess with splatters of grease?

N0, not really- I HATE frying bacon- so this was so much easier for my crew.

Sounds great then. I HATE frying bacon too. It's what I dread the most about a weekend breakfast. I'll have to give this a try.
