Poor Man's Steak

Don't fret at the name. This is a melt in your mouth wonder of goodness that you will fix over and over again. It is similar to salisbury steak. It is football season at our house, that means 3 months of easy to make casseroles, soups, sandwiches and other quick fix meals. This is one of our favorites- except for Levi who currently holds the title for worlds most finicky eater, and he ain't giving up that title anytime soon- no way Jose. Anywho- here is the recipe.

Poor Man's Steak

1½ lbs hamburger
¾ cups cracker crumbs
¾ cups water
1 chopped onion
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper

Mix together and press into ½ to ¾ inch thickness in 9X13 baking pan. Chill overnight. Vut in 4 inch squares. Coat with flour and brown on both sides in skillet ( I always add a little oil to the skillet too) Place in baking dish.

1 (10 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
½ cup milk
Mix together and pour over meat.
Bake at 350ยบ for 1 hour

Are your boys football players? I have such fond memories of my brothers' seasons. One even went to the state finals!

There's nothing better than a tail gate party on a fall Saturday!

Souds like a great recipe to me...!

Meat and gravy...what's not to like? Anything else is just icing on the cake, so to speak!

At one time all 3 were playing football on 3. Now only Levi is playing this year- the other 2 boys decided to take a year off.

We love football season here- except the running back and forth to practices:) But the friendships, memories and fun outweigh the craziness:)
