Have you got your tree up yet? Not here yet. I am planning on putting it up soon. I was watching a program on HGTV the other day about color coordinating your tree with your presents. This seems really expensive to me. My Christmas tree ornaments are my treasures that have been made by my boys or passed down to me from my parents. They don't match anything but my heart. It is almost like taking a trip down memory lane with each ornament.
There are the ones that have been made by my boys. Cute little handmade ornaments that are a treasure to behold. Ornaments that were given to my mother a former teacher over the years. Special little ornaments that I have picked up over the years that mean so much to me- and treasured ornaments from my childhood.
So HGTV and Better Homes and Gardens can keep their perfectly matched trees I will take my unmatched tree anyday.

Nope, haven't got mine up either. Every once in a while I wish for a perfectly decorated tree with matching ornaments. But, I too, love the ornaments I have and don't need to waste any money on new ones.
I wouldn't waste my time on matching ornaments, paper and decorations, even if I could afford to do it. I like my tree just the way it is, because it's full of heartwarming memories. :o)
I think those trees look beautiful in the department stores, but they're not for me. I love my mismatched ornaments with their special memories.
