First Snowfall of the year

It snowed!! Not much, but this still counts as the first snowfall of the season lol. The weather is calling for snow flurries today and tonight so we will see if any will stick around. Of course the weather man said the temps on Friday is to be in the 60's - yea I do not like to trick or treat in the cold :)

The boys have a half day of school today and I have lots of cleaning to do.

Today is a perfect day for sitting by the fire drinking hot tea or hot cocoa. Here is a recipe for homemade hot chocolate from Cooks.com
SARAH'S BEST HOMEMADE HOT CHOCOLATE
1 tbsp. cocoa powder
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. water
1 c. milk
a bit of vanilla, if desired
Combine cocoa, sugar, and water in a small saucepan. Heat it on low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent the paste from sticking to the pan. After about 1 to 2 minutes, add milk and vanilla. Mix it all together until it reaches your preferred temperature.

I love snow! I hope we get a little this year, if not I may have to come and visit you lol! I know this sounds bad, but I've never tried to make hot chocolate without those little packets. But, I am going to give this a try, thanks!

Great Picture! I love the snow but very much dislike the cold. To bad they go hand in hand.

Mmmm ... I'm going to try that recipe right now! Sounds so good and this night is so cold. I can't think of a nicer way to end the evening.
