Fall

Fall is finally here!! Now don't get me wrong, I like all the other seasons, but Fall is my favorite.

Thane built a fire in the wood stove Sunday and we have kept a fire going since. We had been turning on the furnace to take the chill out, but now that it seems the coolness is here to stay our wood stove will be burning.

This morning when I woke up the sky was clouded over and it looked like rain, but this afternoon the skies have cleared and the wind is blowing - so our leaves are coming down fast.

Yesterday, after looking at the weather report and seeing that we were in store for a chilly week I decided to pull a turkey out of the freezer and bake today. I am making turkey and all the goodies that go along with it.

My boys will have their last football game to play in this week. Truthfully I will be glad to have them all home in the evening time again with no practices to run to everyday. But I will miss it too. Our little hometown is proud of our football team just like every other town. Friday nights bring a special connection as we all go to the game and see our neighbors and talk with them. Our high school will have a couple more games and so far they are undefeated. Our Junior High will have their last game on Wednesday and if they win they will end their season undefeated too. Not too bad for a bunch of farm boys eh?

I love fall too, it is my absolute favorite season! We are in soccer now, I will be sad when it ends, but happy to have my nights and Saturdays free again.

I love the chill in the air. Can I come to your house and eat tonite? It sounds good.

I love fall and spring. Love the colors of both. Fall gives me that nesting feeling snuggling down and reading, sewing, comfort things.
